Sports nutrition camps

At SNP we deliver a comprehensive range of sports nutrition camps that provide the essential practical skills and nutrition knowledge to empower the individual to manage their own diet, simply, effectively and with confidence.

Training and recovery

Training occupies the greatest amount of time for most people serious about their sport.  As such it is important that these people eat to (1) supply the right type and quantity of food to maintain their health, (2) fuel their training sessions and (3) recover properly from every training session.  By attending the training and recovery camps the individual will be equipped with the practical tools and nutrition information to address their own nutritional imbalances in the future.

Competition preparation

As some sports last only a few seconds (100m) and others may last for a number of hours (marathon) to several days (Lands End to John O'Groats) understanding the purpose of eating in the lead up to a competition/event is an essential part of the preparation process.  By attending the competition preparation camps the individual will be provided with the knowledge to develop their own nutritional strategies in preparation for their individual sport or event.

Competition day

Every competition provides many new nutritional challenges so understanding what and when you should be eating can have a huge impact on your performance.  Often months of dilligent training can be ruined as a result of poor nutrition on the day of competition.  By attending the competition day camps the individual will learn (1) the purpose of eating and drinking on competition day and (2) how the nutritional requirements of compeition day differ from the normal training diet, helping them to prepare for their competition.
